Many popular forms can be read by the computers, including floppy disks, 100 and 250 megabyte Zip disks, CD’s, and DVD’s. The computers also have USB ports accessible from the front of the tower and a USB extension cable located in the cable nook. This allows the use of Jump and Flash drives for storage.
Yes. The document camera allows the use of overhead transparencies in classrooms. It also lets the instructor display solid objects like books, newspapers and other items.
Thenon-Lawson Hall podiums require a key to open. Keys can be signed out from Bill Tally at Instructional Support Services. His phone number is 453-1687. Note that departments may sign out keys for use by all of their faculty, if they so choose.
Touch the flat panel if it isn't already showing a display. Then, touch the projector control you want, either Audience Left or Audience Right. Then select the video source to send to this projector from the choices at the bottom of the panel: Local Computer, Laptop computer, VCR, Aux Video and Doc Cam.

To play a DVD, switch to the PC video source. Then, insert your media into the PC's CD/DVD-ROM drive. The DVD software will launch automatically. NOTE: Some DVD's, such as "burned" DVD may not play in the computers. If this is the case call 453-1032 to order an stad alone DVD player to be brought to the classroom. NOTE: This request is dependent on availablility.
To play a videotape, insert it into the VCR behind the left door of the podium cabinet.
